Will Nintendo Show “Breath of the Wild 2” at The Game Awards?

Good question.

I’d say they will, the first game had been shown off there a couple times so there’s a history.

I do expect the game to be a holiday 2021 title (unless it’s further along than we think and it comes out in March like the first game), I know some people keep claiming it’s still “years away” but there is really no reason to think that.

This isn’t a brand new from the ground up game, it’s a direct sequel. So, a lot of the work involving overworld design and assets was already done. Remember that it originally started out as an idea for new DLC for the original, and it ended up being too grand an idea so they decided to make it into a entirely new game.

Breath of the Wild 2 is nominated for “Most Anticipated Game” (I think that’s the category lol) so having it win that AND a new teaser (at the least) or trailer would be nice.

Depending on when Nintendo intends on releasing it, I’d imagine a full reveal would be either during a Direct/Treehouse Live video or at E3 next year (if it even happens…).

The Game Awards air this week on Thursday at like 7 PM or something (I’m old and too lazy to look it up, leave me alone!)
